We need to partially decentralize the state party to financially support local parties and grassroots activists in developing a massive statewide grass roots program.

    Absolutely.

The Labor Freedom effort also promises to de-fund Michigan unions of approximately $150 million a year, dwarfing the amount of money the GOP raised in the last election cycle.  That was a highly successful grassroots-activist-led vision.  I anticipate a similar effort for the MIGOP under new grassroots leadership.

Indeed.  Every dollar THEY do NOT have, means less that the MiGOP must spend.

The Democrats raised millions online in five dollar segments, drawing those donors into their vast grassroots operations.  This small investment made them stake holders who went to work on their friends and overwhelmed the GOP.

"Skin in the Game" is very powerful. - Good Point.

In fairness to Matt Frendewey (who made an accurate point about those who decide the primary voting method) on the video, he can hardly speak directly for the chair even representing him; unless directed to do so on that subject specifically.  A comparison between Todd and Bobby cannot be properly made there.  However, it would have been nice to have had the party chair represent himself.

Bottom line however.. this was a great post!

The biggest problem remains (none / 0) (#2)

Most prolly won't like this, but even if Schostak, were to hypothetically appease the concerns above by promise to execute the corrections to his glaring tenure failures, he still has a credibility void, and a Party image problem.  He's basically the Tiger Woods of the political realm as far as I'm concerned.  With regard to the Dele-gate debacle under Schostak, well, once certain trusts are broken in any relationship - it's broken forever.  The man also has calculated financial indenture to those who write Law, so it's reasonable to ration that he'll have keep on scratching those favored incumbent backs in Lansing, and/or DC.  To wit, rolling the snowball downhill, he also has a proven record protecting establishment players by marginalizing newcomers like Bentivolio, who play by their rules, and eventually succeeded in spite of the establishment king makers.

So, you all can do whatever you want at the convention like some others on here have advocated (you identify who you are), but I can tell ya that folks like me sitting with their money on the sidelines have no interest in playing the game of watching compromised integrity like a hawk.  You'll have to go find some dimwitted masochist to prey upon for your Party mealticket.  Frankly, my plate is full watching which way next the stealth Democrat Nerd will screw me over with his costly Big Government planning, and perpetual mob rule pandering bus tour schemes.

Furthermore, to all the seekers of Party renewal, especially, those who now balk at what there is to work with... go ahead, and cut a hog in the ass with lathering yourselves in another dose of Schostak.  Enjoy also having to continually depend upon the Alticor, and Rakolta clan cronies, and wooed amalgamated Lefty's to keep floating the MI-GOP to its demise.

Sometimes decisions that have to made are uncomfortable, but ultimately, the choice that is made is yours to live with.

Best wishes to you with selecting your purchase.
