    and isn't there quite a big difference in 'Liberal' as I would understand it today and "Classical Liberalism' as you reference?

    My cursory take on it is today's common Liberal is a free swinging, selfish, irreverent, group that sees nothing worthy of conservation. Classical Liberalism is more fond of liberation, freedom, and sees much to conserve.

    How close am I? :)
