It is impossible to love everyone - it is not humanly possible. Only God's love, in my opinion, can help us to love those with whom we disagree. I'll be honest, I don't see a lot of that in the religious community either, but you are correct, the liberals preach love while hating anyone who either disagrees with them, or stands in their way of domination.

I've often winced at the idiocy of the Evangelical Left who whine about those evil people of the Religious Right; how they are so intolerant, and we shouldn't tolerate that. So, as you have pointed out, the liberals allow themselves to be intolerant against those who they see as intolerant - kind of a "do unto others as they are doing..." Misses the whole point Jesus made about "love your enemies...bless those that curse you...do good to those who spitefully use you..." etc.

Of course, as I've pointed out, it is not within our humanness that we can love all. In fact, we need to be discerning of who we love. I cannot love a murderer in the way I love my children. That would diminish my love for my children - cheapen it. My children are near to my heart, as is my wife. If anyone harms them, I would find it difficult to love them.

But believing that God loves even the most vile sinner is not outside possibility. God IS Love, so He CAN love, unlike us frail little humans.

But to preach love, while being intolerant towards those we see as inferior or intolerant is hypocritical, to say the least.
