Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Then let's go back to the 1/5 rule . . . (none / 0) (#8)

    . . . Nick.

Right now, I've got credible information from a credible source that Mike Nofs may be a bad idea.  But I'll walk the talk here.  You give me good, substantiable reason to believe that I'll agree with Nofs at least 80% of the time (not one-tenth of a point less), and I'll consider actively backing the guy.

Mind you, I have absolutely no intention of supporting (actively or otherwise) any Demo-rat in this contest . . . unless he can clear the 80% hurdle (which I don't expect will be happening).

You and I have talked face-to-face on many political topics.  You have a good working idea what my key issues are, where I stand on them, and why that's so.  (Not limited to MFTP, by the way.)  That Up From The Abyss article that I linked to has several of my other posts linked "above the fold."  (Some of my better work, if I do say so myself.)  That's just in case you need a refresher.

Right now, as we debate this, Independence Caucus and New Patriot Revolution are scouring the 19th District for a candidate who can both effectively "primary" Nofs and trounce Griffin in the general.  And I'll bet a year's pay against a doughnut hole that they'll find him, too.  And I'll double-or-nothing that whomever they find is someone that will do the job much better than Nofs and Griffin . . . combined.

Assuming that Mike Nofs survives the primary, he'll have been put on notice that he's being watched.  I expect that he'll carry that knowledge with him to Lansing.

    Nofs is 30% right, not 80% (none / 0) (#9)

Nick, I started pushing on this a few months ago.  I claimed Nofs is a 30% small-government guy--not even close to the 80% you attribute to him.  And I backed it up with a comprehensive vote survey.

I'm still waiting to see why you think Nofs is mostly good.

KRH, you're right to say that no Democrat is worth supporting here.  But if it's really Griffin, check out another comment I wrote months ago on the "difference" between him and Nofs.  (Hint: their votes for Majority Leader will distinguish them...and that's about it.)
