Great post and I wholeheartedly agree. Wind power is intermittent and the turbines are geared such that if the wind is blowing above a pre-set rate the generators shut down to prevent damage from spinning too fast. Also, the intermittent nature of the turbines plays havoc with the grid as well.

Not only are the Canadians, but Vestas in Europe is looking to get a slice of the wind turbine business as well.

I posted about the Chinese fining that even with the optimum circumstances, wind power does not pay for itself.

Also, Granholm is passing out subsides to companies that set up shop as recently as 2008 to scoop up the government handouts
