I said I would ELIMINATE the MEDC.

That is my opinion.. it should be gone.

The Lansing environment makes it too easy to think of such things as normal.  Take from one and give to another.  Snyder even now says:

"Ill change it back to the way it was"

Of course this is after he got his $7 million Which for all I know could have been funneled through to pass the embryo legislation the next year..

The problem as I pointed out in an earlier comment, is that the VOTES SHOW EVERYBODY IS DOING IT.  It was not saying that its right, but rather, we need to examine WHY everybody is doing it, and maybe their is a logical reason.

Attacking one man (Jason Allen) as a BAD GUY (which I must disagree) is not a good way to look at it.

    LIFE, LIBERTY, PROPERTY...

That is my litmus.  The questions to ask are:

    1. Does he vote to TAKE MORE of my property?
    2. Does he vote to TAKE MORE of my liberty?
    3. Does he Vote to end life prematurely?

Allen has consistently voted against taking more of my property, freedoms, and is a strong pro life advocate.  Of course, one could argue the redistribution of taxes to businesses that are targeted is indeed something that at the least violates property, but what if there are extenuating circumstances?  What if he was told by the executive that "under no circumstance, will I sign any bill that LOWERS taxes"?  Does that change it?  Should he then work whatever deals to advantage the constituents he serves?  IF he does not, then the share of the pie goes to other happy legislators or bureaucrats who will be glad to expand their part of government which might have.. more union membership benefiting from it.

Its a sucky deal.  We all lose because we have not had an executive office capable of looking at the taxpayers as having finite resources.  In Allen's view, he likely feels he has simply done the best he could given the tools at hand, and the environment which he has been operating.

I have been consistent.  I do not like, and would not support continuing of these types of giveaways.  Yet I am willing to at least examine beyond the narrow focus of one man's decisions.  Further, you seem to imply I am stumping for him, when I am merely responding to what I see in your posts.  Find more than ONE reference to Allen in my postings other than replies to your attacks.

I agree we need to look at issues, and votes, and be critical, but build an argument that says more than "the guy is a liberal".
