    video description: Aired May 23, 1966. Mitt's Romney's father was George Romney, Governor of Michigan. He was a progressive, establishment Rockefeller Republican who viciously opposed to the Conservative wing of the party led by Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. This is very apparent in the video as they praise Senator Jacob Javits, an arch-liberal Republican who led the effort to legalise abortion.
