    The truth be told . . . (none / 0) (#9)

. . . I didn't settle on a candidate to support until Memorial Day (after the presidential primary, "Dele-Gate," and the state convention), and that was after going through the iCaucus interviews of all of the candidates on the ballot and comparing my notes on them.  And keep in mind that Randy Hekman participated in the MI4CS process also.

My beef with MI4CS was fairly straightforward, as stated in this article you referenced.  Cindy Gamrat came to Michigan with the best of intentions for MI4CS.  The problem, as I and others saw it, was that Mrs. Gamrat failed to take into account critical differences in the Republican political climates of the Hoosier State and the Wolverine State.  Not the least of those problems is that, with regard to the Michigan tea party network, is takes no small amount of effort up front in order to build consensus on any candidate, initiative, or policy matter.  That Gary Glenn never once polled in double digits in this primary should've been the first clue that this wasn't well thought out.

I will say, in all fairness, that I do owe Cindy an apology and a "make good."  I had promised her a pro-MI4CS piece if they were able to get Mr. Glenn on the ballot.  They did, and I dropped the ball.  I have no idea how I'm going to make it up to her, but I'll come up with something.

But to suggest that I was a one-man wrecking crew to the MI4CS efforts is more than a bit of a stretch.
