    Don't assume . . . (none / 0) (#4)

. . . that I supported Pete in the primary, just because of who I work for.  The truth is that I supported a more constitutionally-loyal option, and my co-workers were aware of it.  I just made a point of not publicly throwing my employer under a bus (as opposed to a certain Dan Gremore).

I suppose that, had it been relevant to my narrative, I could have done the math on The Dangerously Incompetent One's making a career out of elected office, but I'm glad you did.  Evidently, Dangerous Debbie puts the "career" in career politician . . . yikes.

I don't know for a fact that McConnell will be challenged for Senate Majority Leader should the republicans regain majority status in the Senate, though it wouldn't surprise me if anyone considering such a challenge is keeping that card under his hat for now (lest McConnell arrange for the defeat of the candidates supporting such a challenge, and yes, McConnell is that petty).  But if enough key non-incumbents win in November, then I don't think that McConnell's elevation to Majority Leader is a given.

I don't think that Mitt or Pete were the first, second, or third choice of any of the regular contributors to this site.  Nevertheless, because Barry and Debbie delenda est, we're going to have to work with what we've got.  Disagree and commit.
