Squeeze out that last ounce of taxpayer paycheck.

    As an FYI..

The Michigan Republicans have now issued a release on this:

    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH:
MRP renews their call for Democrat Diane Hathaway to resign

Democratic leaders fail to hold Hathaway responsible, putting political interests ahead of good public policy

Lansing, Mich., Jan. 7, 2013 - Today, the non-partisan Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission filed a formal complaint again Democratic Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway and joined with the Michigan Republican Party by calling for her resignation. Democrats have continued to protect Hathaway, despite the Judicial Tenure Commission investigation, FBI investigation and civil charges by the U.S. Justice Department.

Matt Frendewey, communications director for the Michigan Republican Party issued the following statement:

"For months, Democrat Diane Hathaway, a member of the highest court, has been under investigation and facing public scrutiny for her shady real estate deals and two things have become clear: The calls for Democratic Supreme Court Justice to resign have been prudent and Democrats who chose to put politics ahead of public policy failed the citizens of Michigan.

"It is shameful that Michigan's judicial system has had to operate under a cloud of suspicion due to Democrats refusing to condemn Diane Hathaway and through their silence, protect her from calls to resign.

"Today's complaint by the Judicial Tenure Commission is a result of greed, greed by Diane Hathaway to obtain a short sale under shady circumstances despite owning several properties. It is time for Michigan's judicial system to move beyond these sad circumstances and it is time for Democratic Diane Hathaway to do what is right, and immediately resign from office."
