Rick Snyder setting bar low for Mackinac

I just received Rick Snyder's email message.

For the governor candidate with the most staff and biggest operation, he really should find someone more clever to write his emails.

It is clear he's trying to buy the straw vote the nobody at the Mackinac Conference really cares about.  The only people who care are the candidates who spend the money to try and register enough people to win the vote.

...Wait I wasn't supposed to figure that out, when his email says he clearly doesn't know anyone (obviously because he's never supported Republican causes) and that the "results of the poll will be considered by many political insiders and news organizations to be a strong indicator of each candidate's grassroots support within our party."

Well I can promise two things. 1) I won't be voting for Rick Snyder (ever) and 2) If it is clear that Rick is trying to buy the vote, I'm going to boycott and I hope all other sensible Republicans (FYI Rick those are the people you've ignored all your life) will join me.

... And one last thing to point out from his message; "I also need some of my friends to show up!"

Rick, your friends are on the left.
Rick, let me enlighten you since you've never supported our party in the past.
The people who attend the Republican Conference on Mackinac SUPPORTED MCRI. You opposed it.
The People who attend the Republican Conference, OPPOSE pro-choice causes, YOU SUPPORT THEM.
Rick, you're not a fresh voice, you're the same voice we heard in 2006 and 2008 which was "our party needs to move to the center to win." What happen? We lost.

    I will not support a pro-choice, anti-family, pro-affirmative action candidate for governor.

Being that I'm starting to pay attention to who is going to oppose John Cherry next year I was wondering if you could send any of your info that you have listed on Snyder to me.  Some of the things you have stated are different than what I have read but I admit I have not gone to in depth yet.

    Thanks T. LaDuke

    Snyder's liberal ties are real (none / 0) (#2)

If you don't believe the post, believe the Detroit Free Press:  "Then there is the problem of positions Snyder has articulated. Some are fundamentally at odds with the party's base. Consider:  He supports using human embryos to create stem cells for medical research. He favors government recognition of rights for gay and lesbian couples much like those accorded married couples. He opposed the ban on race and gender preferences approved by Michigan voters in 2006." From the Detroit Free Press on July 14.

I couldn't believe this email.  Rick Snyder is going to buy the straw poll bringing liberal Democrats up from Ann Arbor to buy it for him. It will happen.
