URGENT : Tell Matt Lori (r) You Expect Better than his Latest Attempt to Increase Regulations, Drive up Health Care Costs and Criminalize Cold Medicine!

Supposed Republican Matt Lori and his friends in the mainstream media have been blazing a trail to higher health care costs, bigger government and increased regulations this week in their fight to force you to see a doctor before you get your kid her over-the-counter cold medicine.

I said it on Wednesday, and I'll say it again today...

When daddy or mommy are considering whether or not to go grab a bottle of Triminic, Flintstones gravel throat annihilator, or one of the wildly popular alternatives to give a some relief to little Suzie with the runny nose and scratchy pipes, the last thing they should have to concern themselves with is an appointment with the family doctor.  A $7 bottle of cold medication that if Michigan state representative Matt Lori has his way could cost another $60-$100.

And just how well exactly does Lori expect this sort of nonsensical spike in regulation to go over in the year of the Tea Party?

Enough is enough.  Please pick up your phone now.  Yes, right now.  Then dial one of these numbers to reach Lori's Lansing office and tell him enough is enough:

    Phone: (517) 373-0832
    Toll Free: (877) 262-5959

    More below ~

If you've got a phone and you don't think you should have to shell out an extra hundred bucks the next time you or your kid gets sick, then pick it up and start dialing.  We're talking rotary phones, touchtone phones, cell phones, voice-over-IP phones. Even ET Phone-Home Phones.

Of course, you'll probably have to leave a message with one of his staffers.  And that's OK.  In fact, it's important.  But after that, fire this guy an email, too.  His email address is mattlori@house.mi.gov.   Keep it simple, to the point.

Please take a moment to email and telephone your Representative (click here) and tell them that enough is enough, as well, lest they start drinking Lori's particular brand of big-government cold medicine themselves.  Vote NO on bigger government, sicker kids and higher priced health care.  Vote YES for LIBERTY!

But I'll be perfectly frank, I'm really on the fence with this catch-22.  Do I want these Losers anywhere near my hood?  No.  Do I believe that Rep. Lori's legislation will effect his desired results?  No.  It'll just expand yet another Black market in Michigan for the controlled substance used for manufacturing product for the Losers.

Hell, even if every state in the U.S. made pseudoephedrine script only, Meth is still going to be here by those fine "hard working people" along our southern border.

And, speaking of writing scripts, Dingell's POS buddy from Castroland makes a case of that being useless.

U.S. Rep. John Dingell (D., Dearborn) awarded to Dr. Linares the Great Seal of the United States, the highest accolade that can be bestowed by the state of Michigan, according to the Web site.

But the government alleges Dr. Linares operated a large-scale prescription mill out of the clinic on Laplaisance Road, prescribing OxyContin and other painkillers to up to 250 patients a day, and fraudulently billed Medicare for more than $57 million.

The Cuban-born doctor, who obtained his medical degree in the Dominican Republic, was arrested Wednesday after federal agents and police raided the clinic in a shopping center on LaPlaisance Road near I-75.

Dr. Linares, 53, is charged in a criminal complaint with unlawfully distributing prescription drug controlled substances and health-care fraud. He appeared in U.S. District Court on Wednesday and was released after posting a security bond.

According to the complaint unsealed Wednesday, roughly 4,000 patients from Michigan, Ohio, and other states were prescribed more than 2 million painkillers from April 1, 2008, to March 24, 2010, at the clinic.

Perhaps, Rep. Lori, being a former sheriff, would be wiser to bring forth legislation with teeth to it instead of penalizing decent law abiding families.  I'd start with removing the weight rooms in prison and bring back chain-gangs for their exercise.  Let them clean up their own damned messes.
