Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

The line continues to get blurred.

Got another tax hike to pass along today.

    Who is it from?

    Who do you think?

    {Click below to read more.}

In the continuing effort to obliterate any discernible difference a democrat and a republican, Sen. John Pappageorge introduced a bill to make some "reforms" to the commercial motor vehicle laws, and bring in some more coin into the state coffers in the process to the tune of about $80-90 million.

From what I know of the FMCSR (the federal federal motor carrier regulations), there is very little actually being changed here with this bill...with the noticable exception of new taxes being added.

    I don't get it? I just don't get it?

Why would a party that was handed an election victory not even six months ago, flush down the toilet any support they may have engendered by supporting tax hike, after tax hike, after tax hike?

    I mean, c'mon now!

If you're so infatuated with the "solutions" from the democrats, why bother going through the motions of referring to yourselves as anything different?

Just wave your white flag and ask Mark Brewer where do you sign to officially change yourself over to a democrat.

It seems to toughen up some penalties, make more realistic others, add in the texting ban for commercial vehicle code and give the SOS some tools.

It also apparently addresses illegals driving commercial vehicles, and requires persons who move here to update their CDL to Michigan within 30 days.

Nothing too offensive in changes IMO.

    Page 10, lines 14 and 15.

14    (e) A person who is unable to understand highway warning or
15  direction signs in the English language.

It only flies till challenged as Michigan does not have English as a legally binding Official Language.

Until then, expect more crap like this...
