Where Did The TEA Partiers Go?

Why they've gone exactly where I've said the creative Conservative Right would go.  They're dominating social media.

"The conservative candidates---Republicans and Tea Party members---definitely used Twitter more visibly and showed a more coherent set of messages and topics," assistant professor Eytan Adar said in the release. "They also followed each other much more closely. I think it's fair to say they were much more cohesive in a lot of ways and at the end of the day that makes for a stronger campaign."

    Read the rest here.

There ya have it... let the maladroit Progressive Left drones have their preprinted signs, tribal drumming, smelly wannabe hippie kids and bussed in goonion slug protests.

Frankly, it is all they've really got to work with.

You forgot to mention the teaparty has officially gone on milk cartons. Where's Waldo? Where's the teaparty?

Their corporate masters got a tax cut, so they have no problem swallowing the quarter-billion dollar tax increase Snyder foisted on the common citizen.

    Lol.

...in addition to supporting massive tax increases and layers upon layers of Big Brother government in Lansing, you now want to dictate to me where I can and can't shop.

    Just clarifying.

Please stop already. You're not doing your side any favors with any post you make here. Cheers.

The Tea Party NOT! (none / 0) (#6)
by RushLake on Fri Jul 22, 2011 at 07:12:06 PM EST
There was a lot of celebrating on other Michigan pertaining websites by people who once styled themselves as Tea Party Members. Many had attended the rallies at the capitol building on Tax Day 2009 and the follow up in 2010 and other events. What set the celebrents apart was on the issue of taxes on pensions. Many of them were glad that their fellow citizens who draw pensions were now going to be taxed under Gov. Gran....er, uh Snyder's plan. The pensioners were going to get screwed. Much was made of how unfair it was that some group got away without paying taxes. No acknowledgement that roughly 43% of our fellow Americans don't pay any taxes as it is. They could/would not acknowledge that there is a hell of a lot of opportunity in the pensions, health care benefits, and staffing levels of public sector operations. Hence, The NOT Taxed Enough Party.

    The reality (none / 0) (#9)
by BillMilligan on Sat Jul 23, 2011 at 07:31:48 AM EST
The reality is the teaparty and all conservatives willingly signed off on Snyder's massive tax hikes (to the tune of a quarter-billion dollars) because Snyder hit unions.

Something very similar happened in 2007 when the GOP sold their souls on Granholm's $500 mill tax increase (much LESS than what Snyder proposed) because there was one tiny union hit in the bill (PA 106--which forced districts to bid-out health insurance).

That little box of trinkets is what you all sold your souls for in 207. Snyder's minor union hits are now what you're selling your souls for now.

I mean, it's quite sad. The Natives that got a few beads for Manhattan got more than you guys did for being ordered to smile and take massive tax hikes up the butt and keep quiet about it.

What's next for you guys? A tax hike in exchange for a billboard in 1-75 saying teachers are bad?

    Dupes.
