New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has an interesting way of helping women in the Big Apple. In response to the dustup over Komen's decision to yank funding from Planned Parenthood, he's giving the abortion business $250,000.

"Politics have no place in health care," he said in a statement. "Breast cancer screening saves lives and hundreds of thousands of women rely on Planned Parenthood for access to care. We should be helping women access that care, not placing barriers in their way."

 And Planned Parenthood's breast cancer screening has little to do with their charter.  They serve a darker agenda primarily, and any other outwardly wonderful pursuits are to mask the real reason for their existence.  If you believe their agenda is breast exams and cancer prevention, then I have bridge to Canada I'd like to sell you.

In a statement Thursday, the president of Planned Parenthood Federation, Cecile Richards, expressed appreciation for Bloomberg's gift.

    "...  the mayor's donation will help ensure that no woman is denied breast cancer services because of right-wing political pressure campaigns."

And we know Bloomberg is no friend to anything "right" or with [angels] "wings."

But the donation comes just weeks after the foundation that released shocking abortion numbers from New York City last year-- turning it into what observers called the abortion capital of the Untied States -- unveiled new figures from the Big Apple. They haven't changed.

More than 83,000 abortions were performed in New York City in 2010 -- making it so 40 percent of all pregnancies in the nation's largest city end in abortion. That's virtually unchanged from the 41 percent that ended in abortion in 2009, according to the city health department.

Oh. My. Goodness.

That 83,000 number is fully 1 percent of the city population.  That is 1 murder of a child per 100 citizens.  That is nearly the entire enrollment of students in the Detroit public schools.  Just think, its TEN TIMES the children in the school system of Bay City, snuffed out in only one year.  Closer to home in Traverse City, its 8 times our student population, or SIXTY times that of the number of TAWAS SCHOOL kids snuffed out with no chance to defend themselves.

Those numbers really have to make one think, especially if one was to seriously go forward with any type of "for the children" argument.  In fact it points out the cruel irony of those on the left who support aggressive 'bullying' legislation.

Bullying indeed.

Detroit for its part, struggles to keep up with the Joneses on such atrocities however.  A calculated (from census and statistics numbers) account puts Detroit still in front on the abortion count.  with fully a THIRD of all pregnancies terminated in 2010, maybe it should be asking for some of that blood money given by Bloomberg.  It has a higher baby homicide rate, and frankly deserves its share!

Indeed, as premeditated murder goes, Detroit holds the prize. Roughly 17,500 dead babies cant be wrong, giving the current population a 1.8 percent, or 1.8 per 100 population kill rate in babies alone.
