...Megatron's severed head and that piece of escaped Dreamland tech, much of what was shown is better than what Detroit looks like today.

    So, you're voting Obama now? (none / 0) (#2)

Great ad my ass.  And that Lefty fudge pack crooning background music?  Why the whole damn thing was a Barry Oweblamebush campaign vehicle.

P!ss on China too.  The ChiComs aren't counterfeiting Gummint Motors for a reason.  Y'all can keep the Hopey Hope Changey Change Twinkies.

    Pass the barf bag.

Heh! Gummint Motors is plugging with A2 (none / 0) (#3)

    Just caught this in detnews.

    Madonna to daughter: "Go Blue!"

Madonna , who briefly studied dance at the University of Michigan, told the NFL Network on Thursday that she would like daughter Lourdes , 15, to also attend. "I'm working it. I keep telling her Ann Arbor is an awesome place," Madge said.

Sure makes sense to me.  A2 just loves the CEO of Gummint Motors.

    Yup.

Alas, a moment for the ads (none / 0) (#7)

Watched the game yesterday at a local establishment that was surprisingly packed wall-to-wall with young to old, and as I suspected, the Chevy commercial was received rather well until the Ford slam at the end.  That went over like the proverbial lead balloon.  Folks still aren't impressed with nor have forgiven Bailout Motors.  Most saw it as a swipe at Ford for their commercial.

The real disappointment was the Chrysler Group LLC commercial.  I never thought I'd live to see the day when, of all people, Clint Eastwood would be pitchman for a taxpayer subsidized government gifted company to FIAT and the UAW.  WTF was Clint thinking?  The rah-rah "half time" schlepping soon turned lackluster too.  It was refreshing to see most were lukewarm at best with both commercials.

I reckon the bottom line is that I'm rather proud of my little backwoods community.  Folks seem to be able to still form a rational independent opinion unlike clustered city dwellers.

    Yup.  Life is good.
