Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

Going To Write Harry Reid About The ChiComs Too, Gov Snydholm?

It appears that 'ol Ricky milquetoast may need to grovel at the feet of his pen pal Dingy Harry, again.

The group planned to develop more than 400 housing units that would be sold to Chinese buyers, creating a concentration of Chinese immigrants on what is now mainly farmland.

According to warranty deeds filed with Monroe County, Sino Michigan Properties paid $1.9 million for the land.

    Continued below the fold ~

But Zhou said the group has since discovered that the project wouldn't satisfy job-creation requirements of the U.S. government's Immigrant Investor Program, also known as EB-5.

The program is a way for foreign investors to obtain a green card and become conditional permanent residents of the U.S. Under the program, foreigners are required to invest a minimum of $1 million in an enterprise that creates or preserves at least 10 full-time jobs, or $500,000 if the enterprise is rural or in an area of low employment.

Uh-oh.  That certainly did throw a snag in the less than transparent Gov Snyholm plans to give Red China a forward position on our soil.

He said, "The state needs to do a better job of retaining international students drawn to our universities," and advocated embracing immigration strategies as well as leveraging the federal EB5 immigration program that streamlines a green card for entrepreneurs who want to invest capital.

What a slimy a-hole.  America has 88 million no longer in the workforce, 46 million on food stamps, all the while Michigan p!sses away tax dollars subsidizing foreigners on university campuses, and NerdRick wants us to bend over to fund their additional advantage of gifted price tag citizenship.  Watch for even more of our tax dollars blown in Snydholm's Lansing going towards this treachery.

That Windsor article is pretty... (none / 0) (#6)

    ...darn good.

The only thing that I would take exception to, is that the guv, the world traveler that he is on the Michigan Taxpayer's dime, is such a low-grade moron that he cannot even read a map.

Everyone from S.E. Michigan who has gone into Canada knows where the bridge lands and where the tunnel comes up at in Windsor. It's not like the Canadians make any attempt to hide their whereabouts in the city.

    How convenient (5.00 / 1) (#7)

    From The Detroit News: http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120515/METRO/205150358#ixzz1uxqHWu4n

The MEDC said the project is being tailored to Chinese families looking to qualify for in-state tuition at U-M.

So the ChiComs can build out in the exurbs (and foot us with the infrastructure bill) and send their kiddies to our finest public university (at rates subsidized by us). Once the ChiCom kiddies graduate they can then start their own business in Beijing and work hard on stealing our intellectual property.

Sounds like a great deal for Michigan!
