  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

    Meet the Fockers.

AYES: Benishek, Camp, Huizenga, Miller, Rogers, Upton, Walberg

We've seen the movie before.  Spoiler alert: in this sequel, Paul Ryan and John Boehner lie, and the Marxstream Media prints the lie.  Once again, the Michigan GOP delegation majority has voted with Gary Peters, which is their ongoing endorsement of Gary Peters for U.S. Senate.

I cannot do much in other congressional districts, however, I am aware of what I can effect in CD-1.

Congressman Dan Benishek, go f#@% yourself.  With a chainsaw.

Rep. Kerry Bentivolio, I thank you for voting NO, and voting on Principle.  To that extent, I acknowledge the no vote of this dubious character playing in the Yob-ite propaganda machine.  With same regard, I thank Reps. Conyers, and Levin, for their no votes too.

Didja notice that?  When John McMaverick condescended to us lowly peon citizens, Jane Fonda got a twinkle in her eye.  That's what is wrong with the GOP.

A commentary piece as read by a Rep. Benishek constituent, via the good folks at MCC.

U.S. Rep. Dan Benishek speaks out against vague language in legislation

    By Rep. Dan Benishek

Imagine government without responsibility toward its citizens -- let me give you a hint, it looks a lot like Syria's Bashar al-Assad regime.

America is blessed with a Constitution that protects Americans so they are not afraid that each new leader will turn the country into a fascist nation. No matter how much anyone disagrees with a president's policies, we can take solace in the protections of the Constitution.

The Constitution's authority is supreme and every piece of legislation must fit within the Constitution's limits.

Roger that, Doc.  So far, we're on the same page.  Let's continue...

Why I'm Glad Not To Belong To The VFW

There's an increasing uproar happening within the membership of the VFW that I really wasn't aware of until I was pointed here.

Getting questions and emails on whether we realize there is a difference between VFW and VFW-PAC.  Well, there is and there isn't.  Let me just say this- if the local VFW chapters, to include the states, are willing to let National allow their PAC to push this type of agenda and these types of candidates, well, bad on them for just standing by.  They should be rioting over it.  Holding their dues payments where they can.  Put pressure on National to adhere to what the LOCALS want, not what National may think 'is best'.  Because to do otherwise is utter bullshiite.

To us, this is not an issue of VFW-PAC vs. VFW.  They are the same- don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

So, which politicians in Michigan is the VFW funneling monies to?

~ cross-posted from Michigan taxes too much ~

These pictures are but a few out of many taken at the Saturday rally in Searchlight Nevada, home of the Senate Leader Harry Reid.  From the Massive crowds, to singular expressions of patriotism, to the flag designed by Michigander and patriot descendant Jeff McQueen, there was plenty to see..

    More below the fold..
