  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

We're told by the same people that wrote about Romney's dog 56 times that this whole Obama eating dogs story is trivial and an unserious distraction from the issues of the day. But it's not trivial. Bill takes a look at this President's history and points out just how different he is from ordinary America.

A Message To Our Legislators - Beware False Choices

    Not to mention the tip.

Tomorrow is the big day in Detroit at the Denise Ilitch household, where a Little Caesars $5 carry out special will not be found.  With a $40,000 cover charge, the Obama brigade will be showing how life is lived in the motor city for the elite Democrats who really understand the little folk.  The Obama's who have shown us how to truly vacation, play golf, and live it up on the public dime will be applying their taxpayer paid carbon footprint further up our rears when they fly in for this hoity toity to-do.  But no way is this indicative of the family preference for presidential candidates:

"The event isn't tied to Little Caesars headquarters in any way, nor does it mean the family is endorsing the president. It's strictly a private affair.

And the price of admission isn't for those on a budget. $40,000 buys access to the cocktail reception, formal photo with Obama and dinner. $10,000 buys dinner and a photo."

And for an extra $47, you get an autographed Colombian hooker promotional head-shot.  It in no way is indicative of the many places the President travels.

In any event, those of us simple folk who don't mind the mediocre $5 leadbelly specials will be happy laying out the fin, and watching the local twp or city council step on some poor schmuck's property rights in the name of internationally mandated biodiversity.

Even the Michigan GOP has plans in Oakland County - Below the fold
