  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

    A quick update.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I Pretty much wanted to remind readers that there are advertising possibilities on RightMichigan.com that can work for you.

No one is trying to get rich, but in the spirit of keeping the lights on, figured I would give a shout out to those who might be interested in placing a PAID spot on Michigan's top conservative, and Politically oriented Website.  At this point, one could say the advertising sales force has been on vacation. For a while.  Bermuda triangle area I believe.

The numbers by the way, keep climbing. I would like to thank the contributors who have really stepped up the game lately and moved us further to the top.  It helps as we roll into the new campaign cycle. And it would be prudent for those who wish to get a message out to conservatives around the state, and decision makers in Lansing to consider taking out an ad. We might even talk nice about you. Nah, we're always fair about who gets the wrath.  Paid ads notwithstanding, everyone has an opinion. And of course only ours matter, so be good.

Of course if it turns into a Huffington Post affair, and the owner sells out to the AOLs and Time-Warners of the world for UBER Millions, we will he'll throw all of those who have contributed a great party.  Might even consider pizza. ..catered in from Buddy's (hmm Do they still exist?)

    Anyhow, back to work!

By The Way, thanks to C-1st for his report.  Michigan's new carve up is not too bad IMO.  Condolences to the CD1 rep though.  The travel time just increased a bit more.  The square miles are insane. New Rule: Congressional Critters should travel by VOLT only.

Looking a real challenge huh?  Talk to you in a bit.
