  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

    Teaser from MIRS

    QUOTE OF THE DAY

"I can deal with a world that has same-sex marriage."

    - GOP former Attorney General Mike COX, a self-described social conservative who helped lead the charge for Michigan's same-sex marriage ban, acknowledging his shift on the issue.

Cox: I'm Not Against Gay Marriage
"Mike COX, the former Republican Attorney General who led the legal charge to uphold the state's constitutional ban on gay marriage, told MIRS today he's had a change of heart and could support legislative same-sex marriage if Prop 2 of 2004 were not in place."

Congratulations, Mike.  You're lucky to have someone in your life as dense as Laura, who will still accept you as having any credibility.

Twitter is a good thing.  All who use that social media eventually reveal who they truly are in 140 characters or less.  Take for example this doozy about "know nothings" from Dennis Lennox.

Well, it doesn't take much looking to source who the disgraced man-child from Cheboygan, is thankful to for gifting the misogynistic Left fodder against Conservatives.

Liberal Chad Selweski of Macomb Daily (MI) Defends GM Dolt By Saying Megyn Kelly 'Definitely NOT A Combination Of Beauty and Brains'. He Isnt Fired Yet!

    Gratitude, Lennox?

    Congratulations

Black, female, young, Conservative, Republican, and very much like Alan Keyes in 2004, intelligently opposes the long standing homophile agenda to change the definition of marriage = BIGOT

It doesn't matter anymore if one is Kara, Dennis Prager, Alan Keyes, or Dave Agema, because the Progressive bleat to destroy family, and Natural Law must commence for us to be wards of the state owned collective. That's how the Left rolls.

The language is reminiscent of Dennis Lennox harassing Conservatives with opinions, yes?

Grassroots Say NO to Obamacare In Michigan

Governor Snyder is wasting no time utilizing a back door attempt to implement Obamacare in Michigan.

With the acceptance of 30.9 million of Federal money being offered to Michigan to fund the Health Care Exchange, 2013 could see Obama Care in MI and More! There is expected a Committee vote anytime, which has precipitated a grassroots backlash. This money is key to jump-starting the Health Care Exchange this year. It was stopped by our efforts last year. We can do it again! IT MUST BE DONE. Stopping the funding of the Health Care Exchange is necessary in stopping the expansion of Medicaid in Michigan as the Exchange will administer the program.

A press release issued this morning (published at Jen Kuznicki's blog and elsewhere) from other activists and grassroots leaders suggests withholding support from organizations which support the exchanges as well:

"The coalition of activists urges those who are like-minded members of The Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM), Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Manufacturing Association and The Michigan Business and Professional Association to cancel membership until these organizations withdraw their support of the Exchange."
We agree. We also have joined this coalition to stop the expansion of Medicaid that promises only more generations of dependence and eventual higher taxes.

Contacting committee members and parties involved must be done ASAP

A simple action plan is available below the fold.
