But the thing is so raft with drafting errors (basing it on portions of the constitution that don't exist, for example) and blatant constitutional violations (making thirty-six changes when the constitution only permits one at a time) it's almost like they fired the round with a twenty-foot-thick lead wall between the gun and the target.

All they've accomplished is exposing their own position and effectively blowing themselves away.  Robinson is the first casualty.
