We should certainly do nothing then. Lets keep sending our money over to the Mid east, they don't have those pesky caribou to deal with, just palaces, diamond studded cars, indoor ski slopes etc etc...Wake up.

Why should I try to document something that I've never heard anyone say? To do so would be almost as disingenuous as you implying that I believe it to be true.

The amount of ANWR's recoverable oil reserves do seem to be climbing. This is not, however, the result of magic. The numbers climb because of technological advances and innovation developed by evil oil companies.

As far as ANWR's impact on US oil production and consumption, are you saying that a 2% drop in oil imports is a bad thing and unimportant? I wish I could remember who the analyst was on NPR that commented a while back (paraphrase) that the day we walk away from a potential 500,000 barrel a day oil field because of its insignificance will be the day that we have decided not to pursue any oil at all. We are not there yet.

In fact, to the degree that decrease oil prices, it will simply encourage less energy efficiency and more oil use. But that's the con of the Republicon game.

I do appreciate your honesty. Most Democrats are unwilling to admit that they want oil and gasoline prices high.
