I think Mr. Peterson misunderstands me (none / 0) (#12)

    Mr. Peterson,

Could you please point out the "slanderous" statements that I made?

Slander: A false and malicious statement injurous to another's reputation.

When constructing an argument, I was taught that you start with your thesis statement. Then you back up each part of your thesis in the body of your work. Then you conclude.

The part I quoted was at the very beginning of your post. (Additionally, in journalism, you go from the most important to the least important.) I then apologized for not following the thread, and asked if I placed too much emphasis on your initial paragraph.

As for your request that I find a source, I will do my best. From my experience, this is often quoted, although I have not been able to find a source to back it up or refute it. I will let you know what I find.

As I mentioned, I agree with almost everything in your post, with the exception of the paragraph I quoted. And as my comment indicated, I wondered if I had put too much emphasis on that initial paragraph. Again, I ask, Did I put too much emphasis on your original paragraph? Was your initial paragraph reflective of your beliefs or should it be considered (more or less) an off-the-cuff remark?
