  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Amazing.  House Oversight, Reform, and Ethics Committee Chair, Rep. Tom McMillin, is told to go fly a kite, and AG Schuette remains in hiding.

    Who's Involved with Bob Ficano's PAC?: MyFoxDETROIT.com

By the way Charlie, that Byblos Banquet Center on Chase Road that's listed on your Ficano PAC printout... check and see how many tabs were picked up for Jumana Jedeh parties by boytoy Ficano.  Bet you a shawarma that you'll find another musloid connection.

Gee, sorta makes Talal Chahine and late Mayor Guido Montgomery Ward's scam look like pikers in comparison.

Yannow, this Ficano coverup scheme is just getting too nauseating to watch anymore.

Members of a Wayne County economic development nonprofit that gave Turkia Mullin a $75,000 bonus last year voted this week to ban similar payouts.

The board members of Edge Opportunities, also known as the Wayne County Business Development Corp., met on Monday and made the move, according to a press release from its new chairman, Jeffrey Collins, the incoming deputy county executive.

Collins was elected the new chairman Monday and Ray Byers, the incoming county economic development chief, was elected the new executive director. County Executive Robert Ficano brought the two on staff two weeks ago after announcing the departure of Deputy County Executive Azzam Elder.

Too late Wayne County, the cat's already out of the bag.

Ya Ficano, that Republican ought to appease Osama Siblani for axing Elder.

A little trip back to 2008, Scott Lewis?

Will the FBI turn up improprieties surrounding Mitt's National Finance Co-Chairmen, John Rakolta?

Could the questions that now surround the Wayne County Business Development Corporation be a factor?  Who really knows for sure where this whole mess will lead.

Sure are some strange bedfellows though...

Predictably, for every sleazy public official, there stands a sleazy attorney beside them.

Mr. Convertino, the Ficano recall is a nice gesture and all, but your talents would serve our state much better with helping the Feds investigate the ACCESS connected in Wayne County.

    Fired.

Drama erupts at special Airport Board meeting where the Airport Board has voted to terminate CEO Turkia Mullin.

The resolution is effective immediately. Each member of the board had a vote on the resolution. Only two members of the board voted against the resolution.

The board has appointed Chief Financial Officer Tom Naughton as the interim CEO. The measure passed 6 to 1, with only Bernard Parker  voting against the measure.

    Rest here

    Now prosecute.  All of them.

Three teams of FBI agents entered Wayne County government offices in Detroit this afternoon to serve subpoenas for county records.

The agents' presence comes as County Executive Robert Ficano has retained prominent criminal defense lawyer Steve Fishman to represent him in the FBI probe into a $200,000 severance paid to former county economic development director Turkia Awada Mullin.
