    To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

    As expected, the media, leftist politicians, and anyone else who has a complete and total disconnect from what is cause and effect, made a connection between the Arizona murderer and free speech.  Except they do not call it free speech.  It is 'hate' speech.  And this 'hate' speech apparently only emanates from the right side of the political spectrum. A few glaring examples of Right wing hate speech are highlighted over at The Blog Prof's site:

    Dick Cheney Should Die: "He is an enemy of the country, in my opinion. Dick Cheney is an enemy of the country....Lord, take him to the Promised Land, will you? See, I don't even wish the guy goes to Hell, I just want to get him the hell out of here." (Ed Schultz)

    Rush Limbaugh Should Die: "I'm waiting for the day when I pick up the newspaper or click on the Internet and find that he's choked to death on his own throat fat, or a great big wad of saliva or something, whatever. Go away, Limbaugh, you make me sick." (Mike Malloy)


    oh wait.. that wasn't the right wingers.. my bad.

    But don't let anything like that dissuade our junior senator Debbie Stabenow from joining the chorus of those who (as usual) have it all backward.  Her insipid qualities in a less threatening role as a US senator would be giggle producing. Certainly a few laughs could be had when one exclaims "I can feel global warming when I fly.." I mean.. THAT is outright funny!

    How incredible that on the eve of thanksgiving, with its promise of high caloric abundance, that our federal masters would be talking about limiting the way in which we feed ourselves.

    And our senatorial tyrants Carl Levin, and Debbie Stabenow are a part of this plan.

    S.510 which failed to get traction BEFORE the election is back on the table, and is expected to gain enough support for a vote on Monday. The bill dubbed the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act is touted by its promoters as a way to promise standard rules for consistency in food production and a means in which government can ensure compliance with those measures.

    Like other grand government efforts it has promise of some dire consequence as well.  Mostly for small farms, farmers market participants, local growers, and anyone who cannot afford a team of lawyers ready and able to challenge the best intentions of our benevolent and all protecting federal tyranny.

    Whats the problem with food safety being advanced?

    A Message To Our Legislators - Beware False Choices

    When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. -- That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, -- That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

    Indeed.

    As the progressives who now lead our nation would take our children's lives through abortion, Our liberty through an unanswerable liability of national debt, and our happiness (property) by removing it from us through use of force and redistributing it in the name of "fairness," we celebrate the courageous call of our forefathers to throw from our backs the yoke of the Tyranny of Kings.

    when did our sitting US senators forget what is of critical consequence to Michigan?  At what point did the fat globules break loose and stop the flow of blood to the brains of Senators Levin and Stabenow?  Do they understand, or even CARE about the business and manufacturing communities in Michigan who use electricity as a part of the creation of goods?

    If you though it was bad already be prepared for "bad" multiplied by ___<--Insert large number here.

    Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow had an opportunity to stand up for Michigan, and its economic interests, and the jobs of its residents.  They had a chance in a vote held yesterday to say to the EPA, that CO2 is NOT a pollutant to be regulated by the agency, particularly in light of the climate-gate scandal that demonstrates the science was never truly settled. They had a chance to demonstrate they actually are paying attention to those developments showing the climate change "science" to be a fabrication of grant seeking opportunists willing to exchange their souls for a few coins.

    Let me get your imaginations started on what MUST happen now that the regulatory beast of the federal government has been given new freshly sharpened teeth.
