Michigan's Abortion Industry is Officially Out of Control

Do you remember Michigan abortionist Alberto Hodari?

He's the quack who Wayne State University invited to campus last November, 2007, in order to give a so-called lecture, entitled, "Why I am an Abortion Provider."  Of course, Wayne State seemed to have no problem with the fact that Hodari has been implicated in the death of at least two women on whom he performed illegal botched abortions - or the fact Hodari has had almost two dozen lawsuits filed against him during the last 25 years.  In fact, at the lecture, Hodari told impressionable medical students that abortionists have a "license to lie" to patients because abortionists have their patients' best interests at heart.  For more background on this nut-job, see http://www.rightmichigan.com/story/2007/11/8/1049/67702

Well, Hodari is now under intense scrutiny thanks to the dedicated efforts of Dr. Monica Migliorino Miller, PhD, and her group, Citizens for a Pro-Life Society (CPS).  Dr. Miller and CPS have recently alerted the authorities to the fact that Hodari has been illegally dumping aborted babies and medical materials in the dumpster of his Lathrup Village abortion clinic.  In addition, Hodari has also been improperly disposing of his patients' medical records in that dumpster.

As a result of CPS's efforts, this week, police raided Hodari's Lathrup Village abortuary and at least one of his other Detroit-metro "facilities" (he owns six in total).  Numerous state and local agencies are apparently now investigating Hodari, and several major Detroit-metro news outlets, including the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, and WDIV-TV, have been covering this story; see for example: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080311/METRO/803110329&imw=Y

    Read on. . .

For those who are unfamiliar with CPS, it is a pro-life Catholic activist organization dedicated to saving unborn children from the horror of abortion and was founded in 1986 by Dr. Miller, who serves as its national executive director.  CPS, which is now based in Michigan, has been active in the Midwest region for the past two decades, and most recently garnered praise in Michigan's pro-life community for successfully ridding Ypsilanti of abortionist Robert Alexander - a convicted federal felon.  I chronicled CPS's successful campaign to shut-down Alexander's Ypsilanti clinic in a series of RightMichigan.com columns last August, 2007; see: http://www.rightmichigan.com/story/2007/8/30/23329/6749

Dr. Miller and her dedicated team of activists made the especially grisly discovery of the bodies of aborted children - God's children ruthlessly murdered at the hands of Hodari - in the Lathrup Village clinic's dumpster over the past month.  CPS has been routinely praying and protesting outside of that clinic as a result of the national "40 Days for Life Campaign," which is taking place this year during Lent.  (For further background on what this type of campaign is all about, see: http://www.rightmichigan.com/story/2007/9/27/02343/6232).

CPS has produced a YouTube video of some of what they found as a result of "dumpster-diving" at the Lathrup Village killing center.  You can view the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on_aCpgBsbA .   Please be advised that the video is extremely shocking and sad, but this is the TRUTH of what abortion in America is all about - the wholesale, legalized slaughter of millions of society's most vulnerable members - defenseless unborn children, tiny human beings made in the Creator's image.

In fact, this is the video that the abortionists do not want you to see.  The dead babies are the product of their handiwork.  As Hodari lives the life of luxury in his gigantic Bloomfield Hills mansion, his victims are thrown away like common waste products in a smelly dumpster so that the rats and other animals can defile them further.  As Dr. Miller told the Detroit News, "It's absolutely despicable.  No human being belongs in the trash. What does this say about our culture: that life is trash?"

Unfortunately, Hodari's crimes are indicative of a popular culture brainwashed by the fantasy that abortion is not the taking of innocent human life - it's "choice"; it's "the right to privacy"; it's "progressive."

    No, it's murder.

I know Dr. Miller personally and have worked with her before.  She is a true hero of mine.  A disciple of the legendary Joe Scheidler, founder of the Chicago-based Pro-Life Action League, Dr. Miller is as dedicated as anyone I have ever known to promoting the Truth about abortion; she is an unceasing warrior for the Culture of Life and her efforts and tremendous personal sacrifices over the years have inspired many to live out the Gospel of Life.  Dr. Miller has also helped to save countless unborn children's lives and has helped to heal the other victims of abortion - the women preyed upon by abortionist thugs like Alberto Hodari.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Hodari as the investigations proceed.  For sure, though, this episode is yet another example of how the Michigan Department of Community Health, under pro-abortion Governor Jennifer Granholm, has let the state's abortion industry get totally out of control.

It should not be that way, but when you have government officials like Granholm (and the disgraced, soon-to-be ex-Governor of New York State, Eliot Spitzer) who serve as enthusiastic puppets of the abortion industry this is what you get:

Dead babies in neighborhood dumpsters, true exploitation of women, and total disrespect for the law.
