    Someone from the Wall Street Journal has apparently kidnapped the entire editorial page staff at the Free Press and started writing editorials.

    Don't worry my liberal friends. THIS AGGRESSION SHALL NOT STAND, man. Even as I write this, tax-and-spend, throw-money-at-the-problem politicians so often supported by the real Freep staff are planning to burst into the room at any minute and recapture the building. Clad in Birkenstocks and reaking of stench from years of ignoring personal hygiene, these are the same intrepid socialists who take time off from their "jobs" in Andy Dillon's office to harass shoppers who want to sign a recall petition. If they can deter a busy mom with three screaming children, they can take back the Free Press!

    good luck selling those bonds.  Rates have jumped from the 5's to the mid 6's and 7's, and that is for "not Detroit" projects.  Dirt-backed securities are tricky to sell for growing communities; I think they'd be a really tough sell for a declining urban municipality.
