John McCain has insulted us in his ridiculous display of ignorance a few days ago.
Ignoring all facts and or reason he suggested that Global warming is a dire threat to our national security and a threat to our nations future. He went on to glaze over the "facts" such as the myth of sea level rise, and higher temperatures. The worst of all came when he purposed a cap and trade type system that penalized the use of energy, and forced the use of carbon credits. This relic of socialist economics is not coming from a democrat but the "Maverick" himself. I'm appalled at his blatant attempt to distance himself from George W. Bush, and give himself more mainstream appeal. However this is not new he had done the same in 2004 when he chaired a global warming hearing. Which was considered "among the "most biased" that a noted climatologist has ever seen - "much less balanced than anything I saw in the Clinton administration,". Why in the world is this coming from a man who is supposed to have sound judgment and strong leadership? This just sounds like more of a weak feeble minded politician than a "Maverick".
