Candidates or Money?By live dangerously, Section News
Hope I'm not too off topic, This is my first post here.
I know the answer which comes first candidates or money, the title was just to be catchy; but this made me wonder. Recently I received an email from the NRCC asking me for some money. I usually contribute. This time I didn't. I'm saving that for local contests this year. In the email they bragged about how embarrassing it was for the Democrats that they couldn't field a candidate I think it was in Nevada or someplace. I recently started to get into the active end of politics in my small way and volunteered at the last minute to help Jack Hoogendyk get petitions signed to avoid just that very thing happening to the Republicans in Michigan. An empty ballot space next to Carl Levin. I sent them an email saying they ought to pay attention to their own before laughing at others, with the explanation for my rudeness. BTW I also decided to runn as a precinct delegate. In this case I'm happy no one is running against me (yet). Lol. But I'm sad for the reason. My precinct is 5/1 Democrat. I did manage though to send in some signatures to Jack (I only had one day). Does anyone have any news whether Jack has the required number?
