Straight Talk Express Rolls into Macomb County

After a hugely successful convention, that broke television records (Governor Palin drew 37 million viewers on Wednesday and Senator McCain drew 39 million viewers last night), the McCain/Palin ticket rolled into the heart of Macomb County.  Now, I have been to many presidential rallies in Macomb County, but this one was by far the biggest that I have seen.

    Read On...

Held at Freedom Hill County Park, an hour before the event, every seat in the amphitheatre was already taken.  By the time the Straight Talk Express rolled in, the lawn had filled up as well.  Over 10,000 enthusiastic supporters were on hand screaming and chanting.  Chants of "U-S-A" and "Drill, Baby, Drill" ruled the day.

Governor Palin kicked off the speeches continuing her pitbull hockey mom attacks on Obama.  This time going after him for now finally admitting that the surge was successful.  She rightly pointed out Obama's habit of when he admits he was wrong, he needs to make it appear that everyone else was wrong as well.  But, as the Governor stated, John McCain had it right all along.

Senator McCain followed calling on crowd to help turn Michigan back to a Red state.  I believe he presented a new line for conservatives to enjoy.  When discussing wasteful government spending, he went after those who sneak in earmarks and pork into the spending bills.  As a warning to whomever would put these riders on congressional bills, he vowed to veto any bill and "make them famous."

I believe the left ought to be very afraid now.  The Republicans have been united for months.  But now, the Republicans are enthused and excited to get involved.  At the end, lawn signs were flying out of the park heading to the houses all around the region.

On a separate note, there were many liberal comments (Michael Moore specifically) that the Gustav delaying the convention was showing what side God was on.  Well, at Freedom Hill, there were 3 rows of nuns present and cheering along during the speeches.  Draw your own conclusions.

That's because you've never been to an Obama campaign event.

Here is a video of Barack Hussein Obama drawing a rather large crowd in Germany.
