It may be cold, but the fire is still burning as there will be a tea party at the capitol.

Former Representative Jack Hoogendyk writes:

Come show Lansing that the light of liberty still burns brightly in the hearts of Michigan Patriots! While the legislators and lobbyists gather to listen to Governor Granholm share her view of the State of the State, Tea Party Patriots will gather outside to hear a Tea Party State of the State! Then we can surround the outside of the Capitol as a tribute to the 9-12 philosophy of "We Surround Them."
"Common Sense in Government" will provide glow sticks. Please do not bring candles, as they drip wax that has to be cleaned up, but feel free to bring your own glow sticks! Hot Chocolate will be available.

While The governor waddles around inside the chamber as lame and useless as she has been for two terms, there will be the true Michigan patriots marching proudly outside.

Come a little early if you want to help set up.

We'll See you there! -- Added after posting --- Gratuitous GOP video - Can the GOP make the tough decisions needed? Or will they resort to the same tax-us-more mentality that wrecked the state in the first place? Time will tell. They will likely have the chance to prove conservatism works... if they want to.

KNOW your candidate. The primaries will be our best bet. We cannot afford to get this wrong by electing lefty Republicans thinking we are going to get change.
