Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

I went to a Tea Party today and a funny thing happened.

If you believe how these events are dutifully and accurately reported by the fourth estate, such as CBS, CNN and the New York Times, these events are attended by crude, foul-mouthed and belligerent people.

At least that is their take from the in-depth and thorough coverage they do of statements made by people like Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Emanuel Cleaver.

So let it be written (or televised), so let it be done.

    {Story continued below the fold}

Being there in person, well, that's a different story.

The Tea Party Express pulled into Clinton Township this morning as part of their third nation-wide tour against out-of-control spending, and disconnected politicians.

The people attending were very well behaved and polite towards one another. Many of them even brought their children.

The Tea Party Express brought singers, speakers and entertainers (including Victoria Jackson who did this number earlier today) and got the crown laughing.

Yes, there were politicians going around the crowd doing grip and grin with everybody, including Nick who was with Mike Cox's campaign entourage.

The only person missing was Rick "The Nerd" Snyder. Maybe he'll be at the Medefco Meeting this Thursday (Meet the Candidate for Governor Night w/WJR's Frank Beckman).

Volunteers from Michigan Citizens for Healthcare Freedom were circulating petitions as well.

The end of the rally was even more unbelievable!

Once everything had ended and people started to go home, they packed up what they brought with them. There were no large quantities of brochures, fliers, stickers, signs, blankets, coolers or large banners left on the ground.

Was I shocked at what I had seen and heard this morning?

    In a word: No.

I say this because this is not the first Tea Party Rally that I have attended. At the rallies I have attended, I have never seen, nor have heard people talking about what gets so widely reported.

That being said, kudos to the Tea Party Express for their well organized event. And kudos to those attending for dispelling the MSM myth about those who really do attend Tea Parties.

I am still sorting through hundreds of pictures, processing video, and recuperating..

Our event in TC had about 2000 good people, and when it was all over..  You couldn't tell anyone had been there..  The local homeless guy who lives on the picnic table even got up and helped the vendors pick up their trash. (one of our 912ers gave him breakfast in the morning too)

    Talk about PRIDE!!

God bless this country and its truest patriots.
