    As you rightly point out, my Republican Party was always the party of ideas; the party of alternatives and not just the party of yelling, screaming mobs who say no to everything without offering real alternatives to the issues of the day.

    Just as the late William F. Buckley, Jr. (God bless him) cast aside the John Birch Society as a lunatic fringe, we must be willing to do the same.

    I also believe that few people understand there is a fundamental difference between the conservative movement and the Republican Party. While the party certainly holds conservative beliefs, it should not be one and the same as the movement. This allows both sides certain independence from each other, as well as the ability to best serve their respective stakeholders.
