Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

Nancy played the Party's cards for everyone to see (none / 0) (#10)

To state anything otherwise is disingenuous to the voters.  Nancy has zero class and is a complete opportunist hoisting her "giving a choice" petard.

Well, where was thoughtful Nancy when it mattered by signature petition to give the little people that "choice" printed on a ballot?

Frankly, she had her equal opportunity to run in the primary as did Kowall.  Even Mike "+$1.2B Government Housing" Kowall made way for Thad McIncompetent upon his buffoonish presidential bid ending so to unopposed maintain that career DC gig in his redrawn republican friendly District.  To illustrate the exact stupidity of the presidential bid... Thad Who actually chose to challenge Obama over a plausible challenge to Stabenow.  Remember for later in this comment on Nancy's timing of her attack.

I also do take some issue with the canard "neither do a lot of establishment republicans" being allegedly not onboard with this repulsive development.  Then they need to speak up.  As of now, I add to the obvious rightmichigan.com count, you, and Mike Cox being on record.  If one is keeping score that is adding: one from Livingston Co on the Party funds issue a no-no, and one from Wayne Co who wouldn't go write-in as a candidate, but is/was "anyone but McCotter".  Speaks for itself.

What about Oakland Co?  Well, the Oakland County GOP Chair, Jim Thienel, is as complicit as the County Executive has been with the promotion of his back scratching Novi crony connection in this whole charade.

    June 8, 2012:

They're kicking around whether to back the remaining Republican on the Aug. 7 primary ballot, Kerry Bentivolio of Milford, or candidates who might launch write-in campaigns for the GOP nomination.

"A bunch of people got together and we talked," said Oakland County Republican Party Chairman Jim Thienel. "That's it for now."

However, he added, "It's going to be very interesting in the next couple of days."
    .....

Thienel likened the situation of McCotter's seat becoming open to any job opening that might occur in a tight economy.

"It's a great job," he said. "People are lining up to apply. It'd be unbelievable if they weren't."

Thienel said the county Republican Party takes no positions in primaries on which candidate to support.

"Nobody ever expected Kerry to be the candidate," Thienel said. "Many feel he wasn't vetted as well as he could have been. No decisions have been made, no one in is charge, no one is pulling the strings on this."

Amazing.  Lining up to apply for a "great job" as if it were pimply faced teenagers on summer break applying at one of Schostak's 72 BK's to flip burgers, ask if you want fries with that, and thanks to their public school educations be unable to count back change from said order.  Equally amazing is the County Chair pushing the narrative that Mr. Bentivolio is this spooky, dangerous, candidate who got his required 1,000 legal signatures to be on the ballot.  My assumption naturally has to be that Party Chairs from both Wayne and Oakland, along with L. Brooks and his cronies behind the scenes were just hunky-dory home again, home again jiggity-jig with Thad's incumbent record of union and auto bailouts, and his lone republican vote reinforcing union labor bids on government contracts too, well, up until that embarrassing Republican fraud thingy happened: then katy bar the door.  Yes, so much too for Thad's national attention name exposure garnered on his presidential book tour if his ultimate endgame was to try his hand at Carl Levin's Senate seat in '14.

Another thing, if impartiality is a primary issue (pun intended), then why is Chair Thienel indulging L. Brooks with attending secret brokered meetings with the County Exec who is pulling the strings?  Merely to give the taxpayer funded ringleader in Oakland County a non-attaboy for telling Bennett's already launched write-in campaign it's not his turn because Brook's and Trott decided for everyone as republicans in the 11th District that it's smart to be playing to the Democrats "War Against Women" game with a state term limited give 'em a choice, Nancy?  I thought the Brewer other side were the ones made up of following sheeple.  Seems now that I am completely mistaken about that and more than thankful to have left that part of the state for greener pasture to call home.

Bottom line: the ball is in Nancy's court with her incumbent mentality on display that clearly has an abhorrence of anyone challenging that insider clique dominance of power and control.  Nobody made the decision to launch an after the fact attack on Kerry Bentivolio other than .. Nancy.  Had she or any other done the honorable thing and challenged the incumbent when it was appropriate to do so, my opinion on this matter with respect to them would be different.  But, the way it stands now, this is all about crushing one that dares to rock the boat of the cabal in charge.  It is a complete turnoff to watch from afar, and demonstrates yet again the paradigm of Republican vs. Democrat is a tired old fable.

The lessor of two evils is no longer an acceptable GOP standard for folk like myself to operate within.  The old boy network is just going to have to deal with that, or fade away clinging to their memories of going along to get along policy.  Besides, it's difficult to ignore that bird's of a feather do indeed flock together.  Associations matter.

Flag Day is a rather suiting day for a veteran and an honorable man to have a well deserved Money Bomb.

    Carpe diem.
