    Hmm . . . just a few names off the top of my head:

    • Mike Cox

    • Gary Glenn (has about as much executive experience as Schauer does, maybe more)

    • Pete Hoekstra (probably would've been our nominee in 2010 if the primary process required runoffs absent a majority result)

    • Jerry Zandstra

    The key is to keep it to exactly one challenger (so as to avoid diluting the conservative vote), and to have that name in place in advance of the Biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference  (20 - 22 Sep 2013).
