    Seriously, No Joke.

Gov. Rick Snyder will call in federal reinforcements to help convince a recalcitrant Republican-majority Legislature to accept money to expand Medicaid.

After a speech Friday closing out the Detroit Regional Chamber's annual Mackinac Policy Conference, Snyder said he has talked with U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to determine the best way to get the expansion passed in Michigan, and setting a time for someone with HHS to come to the state to talk with lawmakers.

Republicans, wary of anything associated with President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act, have not included the federal dollars for the expansion in the 2013-14 budget. The bill in Lansing would put four-year limits on the benefits.

Exactly how many "skunk work" projects does the Governerd have, Rich?  TEA folk, if being the target of the IRS isn't enough to rally a display of Gadsden's, then this fifth column Progressive Nerd within the state Republican Party bringing in the most corrupt White House our nation has ever seen to browbeat our representative voice in the legislature had best activate your presence in Lansing, post haste!  Stand with them - they stopped the Nerd.

Bobby Schostak, your silence with Snyder's Obamacare entanglement demands is appalling.  You're a complete disgrace as Party Chair.

has been working the Tea circuit, and some have been critical of lip service.

I tend to not want to just bitch about it, but this is getting to the point of ridiculousness.  Snyder MUST BE Stopped on this stuff.

Your "5th column" reference is accurate.

    We need a primary contender.

    Methinks . . . (none / 0) (#2)

. . . it's about high time we started compiling a "Nerd-Gate" list of reasons that the Michigan Tea Party Republican network needs to recruit exactly one credible primary challenger to the one fluffed turd currently occupying the Michigan Governor's Mansion (at least officially, if not in reality).

I figure that if an EPIC-MRA poll conducted three weekends ago has Mark Schauer (D-Battle Creek) actually dead even with Rick Snyder (RINO-Ann Arbor) at 39% each, with 22% undecided, and if those numbers are effectively unchanged from an EPIC-MRA poll conducted seven weekends ago (Snyder - 38% / Schauer - 39% / Undecided - 23% / MOE = ± 4%), then Slick Rick has himself more than a few credibility problems with his base.

This latest instance to attempting to strong-arm the legislature (which is still dominated by the major party that he professes allegiance to) isn't doing him any favors.

I'm sure, there are more than one or two (none / 0) (#3)

of us who will be staying home on the governor's race if Jenni....er, Rick is the candidate. I'll vote for down ticket as appropriate, but I'll be damned if I'll vote for that bully again. I think the MIaGOP better look close at the ramifications of keeping this clown on the ticket. Fool me once............
