Just devastating.

What was rumored even yesterday to be an astounding cut of as many as 11,000 factory and white-collar workers turned out, today, to be a far larger cut of 13,000 jobs!

Dr. Z himself was on hand this morning in Auburn Hills to make the announcement with Tom Lasorda.  

DetNews reports that 11,000 factory jobs and 2,000 salaried jobs will be eliminated, each figure up 1,000 from earlier reports.

As many as 11,000 of the total jobs lost will be shed in the United States.  It looks like Michigan, Deleware and Missouri will be hit hardest, with our own state likely absorbing the majority of the blow.

Everytime I hear news like this I think back to every speech Jennifer Granholm's given over the last year.

'I have a plan.  I've been working the plan.  And working it.  And working it.  And working it.  And ITS WORKING!'

All due respect, madame governor... unless your plan includes putting the rest of the state out of work too, it's NOT working.
