Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

And Cliff Taylor is STILL unopposed

Remember Marietta Robinson?  Don't feel bad, nobody else does either.

It was over a month ago now the buzz started going around Lansing that Mark Brewer had finally found a Supreme Court candidate on whom to spend that $10 million in pledged Stryker money.  Cliff Taylor is the bane of civilization, Mark rants and raves, and he must be defeated.  But by who?  Who will stand as a champion for radical gay special rights and the protection of the great ape?  (Yeah, great apes... hey, I don't know, ask John.)

Marietta Robinson, we heard, was just such a champion.  Sure, she'd lost when she'd tried for a spot on the bench before, and yeah, even the Michigan Democratic Party rejected her when she approached them about an Attorney General bid a few years back but hey, two-time losers make the best sacrificial lambs.

She was in Europe, we were told, and unable to confirm or deny anything more than her interest in access to Papa John's checkbook.

Either she's moved to Paris or someone needed an extra pair of wool socks.  Speculation about Robinson's entrance into the race has gone as cold as her backers' proverbial feet.  The imminent candidate announcement we were all looking for still hasn't come.  It is now the second week of July and the Michigan Democrats are without a candidate to put up against the state's Chief Justice.

Sort of puts the fraud-fueled RMGN stealth ballot drive into perspective.  Does Brewer's ring-leading betray a tacit admission that this particular conservative jurist, even in a blue state like Michigan, is just plain unbeatable?  Or that the left's views on the Michigan courts are so far out of the mainstream he can't even find anyone to slap their name on the ballot?

It's a fair question to ask... if Michigan's Supreme Court is so desperately in need of an overhaul, why can't the state's dominant political party find one single person willing  to take on the challenge?

Perhaps Marietta Robinson is visiting with legal scholars in Moscow so that she can learn how to impose Russia's style of law in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Michigan.
