    The day after a snow and ice storm hit Washington D.C., Al Gore aka Algore aka the Goracle, was warning the senate about Global Warming.  Gore, a blithering idiot by any normal person's standards, was in front of the right audience.  In fact, the abomination that is the U.S. Senate, provided the Goracle the only forum in which he wouldn't be laughed out of the room or escorted out in a straight jacket.  In fact, it appeared that the senate was actually taking the Goracle seriously, which may explain why it is hard to take the senate seriously.

    From the Washington Post:

    The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, John Kerry (D-Mass.), appealed to hear more of the Goracle's premonitions. "Share with us, if you would, sort of the immediate vision that you see in this transformative process as we move to this new economy," he beseeched.

    "Geothermal energy," the Goracle prophesied. "This has great potential; it is not very far off."

    Algore, Global Warming "is not very far off", you'll only have to wait 100,000 years or so for it.  The earth is now entering a natural, cooling cycle.  This will only last about 100,000 years.  After the cooling cycle, the earth will enter a warming cycle which will last approximately 8,000 years.  At this point, Algore will be correct, the globe will be warming.  However, the warming will be a natural warming cycle not caused by American's driving four-wheel drive, pick-up, trucks.

    Near the end of the Gore/Senate conference Dick Lugar asked the most poignant question;

    Lugar, a 32-year veteran of the Senate, asked Gore, as a "practical politician," how to get the votes for climate-change legislation.

    That's the most important thing Mr. Lugar.

    God help us!
