Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

To The Head Of The Class.. Warfare

    Huh..

Rich people create jobs.  To grow their income they either invest it in outside companies or perhaps their own, which will use the investment to expand, OR they will spend it on the types of products that require manufacture.  Manufacturing itself requires the creation of jobs for the process.  A manufacturer, or Value adding business must produce a product that is worth more than the sum of its ingredients, or it fails.

That is a good thing right?  ..Why yes, it is..

Profits extracted from the process, are flipped back over in the manner described above.

Michigan manufacturers and business owners have created an incredible amount of wealth over the years.  In that process there were a few folks who certainly have done well for themselves, including icons like Mike Illitch, Tom Monahan, Dick Devos, and Rick Snyder to name a few. These 'fat cats' have made it possible for a number of other entrepreneurs to find their road to riches as well.

Its kind of funny however, when politicians discuss these folks as if they are bad ones that need to be punished..

    Below the fold we go!

    Whats up with that?

Even the poorest person willing to take a few hours of his own time to develop a business has taken advantage of the fact that just THESE guys exist.

If you have ever been around a sporting event, you would have seen the multitude of ways in which the the creative genius of scalpers, wares sellers, and artists or photographers develops.  Usually it is associated with the desire of those folks to earn a living and in the process provide something that has value to the event attendee.

I have personally been a pizza driver, and found the potential there to make a living.  In fact the pizza business itself and the fact Dominos exists has offered up other opportunities for local entrepreneurs like Jacob, 'the dancing guy' who has turned his once Dominos-only hawking affair into a corner dancer for hire.  His Dominos efforts are shown below

Since his start with the pizza operation he is a marketable product, and has performed for a number of other businesses.

And he wouldn't have had the opportunity if it weren't for the 'Rich guy' who owned the franchise for the corporation owned by the REALLY 'Rich Guy' Mike Illitch.  As Henry Payne says:

Ilitch, and "the wealthy" like him in Michigan -- DeVos, Meijer, Penske, Gilbert, Taubman, Brown, and so on -- are human job engines. They are economic multipliers -- investors capable of mobilizing not just their own millions but inspiring investment from others in more businesses, communities and cities. Ilitch, for example, is currently pursuing a multi-million dollar strategy for downtown Detroit that would further define its core city as a destination for sports and entertainment and multiply opportunities for restaurants and small retail. Every dollar that he spends in Detroit means jobs and development.

And take it from the dancer above.. not just Detroit.

Its every Amway distributor who put the necessary time and effort into his business, the T-shirt sellers at games, the tickets scalpers and the suppliers to any manufacturing company that is in Michigan that needs those dollars invested to make it work.

The congress just passed a bill that extends tax cuts for a segment of our society that does not meet a particular threshold.  The cost of not expanding that extension to 'the rich' means instead of investing in opportunities that grow from the measured investments and accountable operations of the businesses they create and control, that 'wealth' is destroyed through the taking of money by government.

And we are told "They can afford it..  because they are 'rich'."

Funny how the other concerns on capitol hill are expressed fears of the economy collapsing if we do not extend unemployment benefits.  If you follow through to Payne's article, he implies the economic cost, job losses, and loss of economic vitality to cities like Detroit can be great with the failure to allow those wealth producers to BE wealth producers.

The manufactured divide between the classes; poor and those who would make them less poor, has never been more clear.  The 'arms dealers' who profit are the politicians picking their pockets.

an excellent article and perfect example of the class warfare being waged.

Ask all those Democrats who work at Domino's, Tiger Stadium and Joe Louis Arena what would happen if Mike Illitch suddenly picked up everything he owns and moved away from Detroit.  Ask the rest of the people who work in area's frequented by fans what would happen. They are freakin clueless!
