This last Saturday, February 27, marked of a year and the anniversary of the Tea Party rallies. Since that time there have been THOUSANDS of events held to let our politicians know we are not happy with the way things are being done both here in Michigan, and in Washington.  We are reminding them that it is with the consent of the governed that they occupy their seats.  For many it might not be for so much longer.

The realization of that fact may have brought some of them in line, but there are still more however, who really don't think they are vulnerable to the angst felt within the population. In fact they may have thought the tea party a "passing phase." Rally after rally reveals the truth about what time it is.

So yeah.. Its not as though there has not been any already, and now plans are shaping up for the APRIL 10, 2010 Traverse City Tea Party! Permits have been pulled, a professional sound system has been arranged, and it will be a great event with music and camaraderie.   Yours truly might even offer a word or two if I can dodge the tomatoes long enough.

We will also have a moment of silence and will be be taking up a donations for the family of a fallen local soldier 22-year-old Army Sgt. Dillon B. Foxx who died serving our country in Afghanistan.

Having been a part of at least 10 Tea Party events in the last year has shown me we are not lost yet.  Some of the greatest people I have known have participated, or had something to do with the organization of these happenings. People who don't want to busy themselves in your affairs, but are ready to help and participate in making sure you have a voice as loud as their own.. Something our politicians too easily forget to do.

Its truly amazing how many people are now aware of the urgency in which we need to apply the shock collars to those in government.  Its not so amazing however to find the compassion for our fallen..  We are proud of this country and Michigan's best for good reason.

    Anyhow.

As any changes happen or updates are ready I will keep you informed here and at Michigan Taxes Too Much. Hope to see those of you who are withing range!

In a year this movement has gone across the United States of America. Millions of Americans are involved in the political process as never before. I don't remember anything of this sort in all my years and I have been interested in politics for over 35 years.
Now we see the movement has jumped acoss the pond to our British cousins. If that can happen then maybe, just maybe this could very soon become a world wide movement. Wouldn't the defeat of failed ideas such as Socialism and Communism be worth the effort? An entire world where the Rights of Men are recognized and placed above Government. Each country basing their governments on the rights of the people, rights that come from the Creator instead of those granted by a monarch or government. Let us hope and pray and offer assistance and encouragement to our brethern all over the world who wish to free them selves from the chains of Leftists visions of Social Justice.

. . . if you remember my speech from the Iosco County Freedom Week last year (you were there), do you think that you could arrange for me to get a speaking slot?
