Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

Newest Guv Ads. Positive, Upbeat, and Rockin!

Seriously, no matter the side you are on, the Republican Governor candidate's ads are getting good and more upbeat..

My personal favorite is the first one for Mike Cox. (what can I say?) It addresses the real issue in Michigan, a LOUSY environment to do business, (unless you are hooked by bureaucrats in a bizarre Rumplstiltskin scheme..) and is not the place that investors look to first any longer.

The second ad also uses a fast moving theme, and shows Pete Hoekstra is working hard on his campaign.  Ideas bus.  It doesn't identify the problem as well as the first, but it points out the value of getting input from around the state.

Mike Bouchard's "look" ad is pretty good too. It identifies the problem, and offers him up as a solution provider in the past, and identifies him as a "conservative" which resonates well right now.

Rick Snyder talks of "re-inventing " Michigan government in his short spot, "Jobs."  He apparently wants to look at Michigan as a business, and apply business solutions.

All of the ads have one commonality.  They are focused on the candidate as the solution provider.  No cheap shots, no overblown complaining, and each worth looking at.

The ads for the top contenders below the fold.

    Mike Cox's newest ad

    next Pete Hoekstra

    next Mike Bouchard

    Lastly Rick Snyder

..does anyone know if Sen. George has any ads, or is planning on running any in the future?

He is the only one I've noticed who is conspicuously absent from the airwaves.

You gotta be fuggin kidding me.  What's Pete gonna do next?  Start calling himself "Maverick"?  They both act the same.

And Petes' buddy Newt 'Scozzafava' Gingrich is priceless:

"Pete and I have a long history together of fighting to uphold conservative values and reduce government spending," Gingrich said. "Pete is a true leader of Michigan and has created a strong campaign to fight for the future of this state. I am proud to help Pete spread this message so we can put Michigan back to work."

Yah, right... F#@% 'em both and all their Moderate 'reaching across the aisle' McAmnesty like buses.

Bouchard?  Poor Mikey... What is there left to say about him... he lost to this.  Although, it was a nice touch in his video to put Michigan Central Station in it, it's only been closed since 19-fuggin-88 when the gummint, err, Amtrak shut it down.  And, the imagery of a bombed out ghetto Detroit is way beyond the control of the MoleRattler and Lansing, like it or not.  Detroit has been screwed since '67.  Yep, I admit it.  I was a part of "White flight".  Deal with it.

The Nerd?  Yah, he's the answer.  F#@% me!

My only choice is obvious.  I'm not completely satisfied with it but it'll have to make do.

First, I'm amazed that all these guys have the ability to "create" jobs.  Maybe someone stole Harry Potter's wand.  But on to the critique:
-- Cox.  Looks like a parody ad for Fox.  There's no way to dress up an opportunistic creep as anything other than an opportunistic creep.
-- Pete Hoekstra.  "I don't have any new ideas, so I'll drive a bus around the state asking for yours."  Still, Michigan voters might like a good grey guy as governor.
-- Bouchard.  A by-the-numbers campaign ad that you'll forget the moment it's over.
-- Snyder.  The nerd seems to be toughening his message, but still offers cliches.
