Remember that group that called itself the "Tea Party" in order to get on the ballot?

Well, guess who had a "convention" last weekend?

    {Story Continued below the fold)

Yes, held in the beautiful, er, I'm not quite sure exactly where they held it, the group calling itself the "Tea Party", held its first-ever convention to select its slate of candidates for the November ballot.

How this was advertised is anyone's guess.

This group rarely does interviews or PR.

They have no (as of 5 minutes ago) website.

Medefco, Troy Area Tea Party and Romeo Area Tea Party had no mention of this "convention".

I'll go out on a limb here and throw out that NO Tea Party in Michigan received any notice of this "convention".

Yet, they somehow were able to hold one in Saginaw last Saturday.

Just on the off-chance that anyone is interested in who these limited-government candidates are, here is a copy of their slate of candidates.

Stay tuned, because I'm working on something interesting relating to these people.

    More to DEFINITELY follow...

    STILL anonymous.

No history to speak of..  Little that indicates where many of them are ideologically.

I have a little research I will be doing as well.

Stay tuned..  indeed..  Time to put our political Loupes on.

I'll see if there is any facts I can find to confirm my gut feeling.

David Polzin of Menominee donated to Bart Stupak. Take a guess where the 108th district is.

    http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?city=Menominee&st=MI&last=Polzin

If that's not good enough. David Polzin of Menominee gave $10 to Grand Traverse Democrats, and $55 to Granholm, and $50 to Michigan House Democrats fund.

Frantt Whitehall of Midland. Donated to Garnet Lewis, Sharon Tillman, Mike Huckleberry. Robert Whitehall of the same address gave to Clinton County Democrats.

Thomas and Joyce Murdock of Plymouth donated $100 to Andy Dillon. Joyce also donated to anti-hunting committees.

NO Republican donations by any of these jokers.
