The corruption of the Left never fails to amaze me.

Auditor General Thomas McTavish criticized the $340,000 contract awarded by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority because the state did not call for bids, the hourly rate was 45 percent higher than normal, money was paid upfront and documentation was lacking to show the work was finished.
Christopher LaGrand, acting deputy director for housing development, confirmed the 2008 contract was awarded to Teresa Bingman, who served as Granholm's cabinet secretary before leaving to become a consultant.
"It's pretty alarming," said state Rep. Tom McMillin, R-Rochester Hills, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight, Reform and Ethics.
"I'd like to know is this is just the tip of the iceberg."

one better....when a dept. runs out of budget money they go to the contract list and find someone on the list who will purchase for them thru the contract. Or they go to someone on the contract list for the purchase in order to make it look like they are not spending money from the budget. Makes em' look good either way.

I'd love to know whom is responsible to overseeing these "contracts" and why some people aren't spending some quality time at the gray bar inn?

First, we have the farce last week of Turkia Mullin getting $200k to quit her job working for Wayne County to work for...Wayne County.

No, I'm not kidding, folks. Check it out.

Then we find out that her secretary also got a sweetheart deal for $15K.

Now, we've got this?!?

Why is Mr. Relentless Positive Action not commenting on the inherent "fairness" factor of this issue?

At the very least, he could have let AG Scheutte off of the chain to get some answers.

Or, will this, and by this I mean everything, eventually get swept under the run because "that's just how things are done here"?

I'm dreading that the latter is what will eventually happen.
