Nice job ramming this one through, Richardville.

This is why the public has a low opinion of Michigan's lawmakers: They may end their deluxe retiree health care benefits, but only after making some 42 additional lawmakers eligible.

State senators voted Wednesday to cut off the benefit for those lawmakers who haven't served at least six years by Jan. 1, 2013. By changing the bill from one that would have ended vesting on Jan. 1, 2007, they would extend the benefit to 42 additional lawmakers (and their eligible dependents).

    Rest here

I'm forced to side with Senator Coleman Youngs' lone NO vote?  Ain't that just a b!tch?

Seriously, it really speaks to the self serving nature of ALL who went along with the plan.

Disappointed in some, not surprised by others.

I'd like to get Rep. McMillin's take on this. (none / 0) (#2)

After the long and interesting discussion we had here, I'd like to know what "last minute" tweeks and changes were made (if any).
