Governor Snyder has had an opportunity to join with 26 other states in repudiating the destruction of our health care by the liar in chief and a capitulating congress.

But he has done nothing of the sort.

And while our attorney general Bill Schuette is supposedly fighting against Obamacare as unconstitutional, we have a Snyder enabler Jim Marleau pushing for the finishing touches on the insurance exchanges.

The bottom line is that Obamacare requires every citizen to purchase government approved health insurance under penalty of law, beginning in 2014. Key to enforcing the "Individual Mandates," are federally-regulated health insurance exchanges, which will be set up in each state to facilitate the sale of this mandated insurance.

The law gives states the option to set up an exchange or have the federal government do it for them. Some states (and Legislators) mistakenly believe that if they set up an exchange, they will preserve state control over the exchange. However, Washington bureaucrats will be at the controls regardless of whether the exchange is state or federally established.

Have REPUBLICAN State Senator Jim Marleau tell the feds to take their crappy mandate and shove it where the prostate test goes.

    obamacare cover (none / 0) (#2)

After some in Lansing have given obama cover by self-inflicting this scheme, the feds will just step in and say, "Thanks for helping us implement this attack on your citizens' freedoms, we'll take over from here."

Those who think we will have any say in how this federally-funded scheme is run in the future are sadly mistaken.

We either fight for our citizens' freedoms...or we help obama and the left implement the assault on our freedoms.

Now, ya might wanna clue in the Progressive little r MI-GOP in Lansing pushing Mitt Obamaneycare on us that surround you of the same.

2012 is gonna be real tough on RINO's.

When reality sinks in, 'ol Mitten's prolly could pinch a diamond out of a lump of coal placed between his butt cheeks.  Although, Mitten's arrogance will make him labor on the campaign trail much like an A2 Nerd chasing after a taxpayer funded Granholm bridge.  3/4 of the folks don't want either, but it hasn't dawned on Snyder or Romney... yet.

It should be readily self-evident right now that.. (none / 0) (#4)

...the republicans in Lansing don't give a damn what John/Jane Q. Public Think on this matter.

The media surrounding last year's petition drive and public backlash against Obamacare in general is but a fading memory in their minds.

Elected officials frequently ignore correspondence from outside of their own district.

But when election time comes around...WATCH OUT!

Every capitol critter will be crawling out of the woodwork, attending Tea Party & 9/12 Meetings, pressing the flesh and reminding us what a wonderful thing it would be if someone with a "-r" after their name is elected/re-elected into office.

Rep. McMillin, you might want to take the time to remind the colleagues in your caucus that they will not be very well received next year when they come calling if they continue to press forward with this bill.

A floor speech would be a perfect reminder about going down the wrong path.
