Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

Johnny, it's your fellow Democrats ideology that's failed

There once was a show on HBO called Tales from the Crypt that instantly came to mind when reading today's JOA News.  Yes, Dearborn's very own Congressman Dingell or, the Crypt Keeper if you will, was busy playing a soft race-baiting card for the City of Detroits' $8,000,000,000.00 debt and "Targeting" Michigan's Republican legislature.

Washington-- Rep. John Dingell on Tuesday said the city of Detroit is in dire straits and needs state intervention to recover economically.

"Michigan cannot exist with Detroit the way that it is," Dingell told students at his alma mater, Georgetown University, when asked about the state's ability to rebuild without Detroit. "I haven't yet seen a governor who wants to appoint somebody.

    "Every governor is afraid."

Exactly where has the "Dean of the House" been for the past 8 years?  I don't recall Johnny talking this way during his fellow Democrat Governor Granholm reign that was preoccupied with running the entire state into the ground.  Did the City of Detroit just magically become a cesspool of corruption, poverty and indebtedness on January 1, 2011 when Governor Snyder assumed Office?  Nope.  I suspect there's more to this new interest in Detroit than Johnny is leading onto...

Dingell, D-Dearborn, didn't specifically call for a state takeover of the city or the appointment by the governor of an emergency financial manager to oversee the city's government. But his comments would indicate he believes those might be viable solutions.

Ah, yes.  My old stomping grounds for a decade, the City of Dearborn.  Yes, Johnny was my congresscritter for that decade, of which, Dingell's former staff counsel back in the 80's is now Mayor Puddingpants of yet another finely exampled Democrat leadership resulting a $20,000,000.00 budget deficit running City of Dearborn.  Must just be coincidence that most Michigan entitlement vote buying Democrat led municipalities suffer similar financial woes.  Now, with Dearborn in severe financial troubles that will undoubtedly result in cuts to even their charter mandated LEO's and with Dearborn bordering the City of Detroit, Johnny wouldn't be stirring the pot just because of that, would he?  My contacts whom chose to remain in their blight riddled City of Dearborn and have removed their rose colored glasses and are sharting their drawers, tell me that's closer to the truth than I could've ever imagined.  I guess the old 'hood of Dearbornistan has really tanked in the 1 1/2 years since I performed my exudus from the Apocolypto.

Gov. Rick Snyder's office offered this response when questioned about the comments.

Why?  Why indulge the Democrat fossil that is given credit as the author of Obamacare?

"Mayor Bing is the man in charge," Geralyn Lasher, Snyder's communications director, said Tuesday.

Amen!  The buck stops there.  Oh, wait...

"Mayor Bing and the governor have been working together. You've heard the governor say that Detroit needs to thrive for Michigan to thrive. Gov. Snyder is very committed to working with the mayor and the Legislature."

That's going to need to be watched like a hawk.  The City of Detroit has been a Democrat led epic failure of corruption, social justice, unions and leeching from State and Federal taxpayers since the days of Governor Milliken.  Like I have illustrated repeatedly, Governor Snyder has to watched like a hawk.

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing's office stressed its commitment to working together with federal and state officials to solve the city's ills.

"Congressman Dingell was apparently referring to Detroit's past," mayoral spokeswoman Karen Dumas said in a statement.

Yep, sure was nice of Dingell to throw Mayor Bing under the bus.  Again, I don't recall Johnny soft race-baiting the way he does now when King Kwame and Governor Granholm were in Office.

"This administration is working with the Obama administration, Congress -- including Mr. Dingell -- and Lansing to realize financial stability and accountability on every level of city government. We have made progress in this area, with the president's support and continued cooperation. We now look forward to legislative support in Washington to help create jobs and restore our economy."

Pow!  Right back in Dingell's lap.  Yah, where were Democrat congresscritter Dingell and Speaker Blinky in creating a Federal government atmosphere less hostile towards jobs for folks in this nation?  Oh, that's right.  They were occupied with their closed door Obummercare tax, Cap and Tax, likening those who oppose Obummercare to the KKK and Nazi's, and smearing TEA Partiers as AstroTurf.

    Anywho, skipping ahead...

Dingell and his wife, Debbie, the former General Motors executive and Democratic activist, are graduates of Georgetown and have four degrees between them from the Catholic university in northwest Washington, D.C.

Before taking questions, Dingell spoke about his history in Congress. He was introduced by Ed Montgomery, the former White House auto czar who left the Obama administration following the federal bailouts of General Motors and Chrysler.

Sounds like a regular reunion party for the ex-GM Exec Debbie Dingell with the Czar and the Democrats now running Government Motors.

Many of the questions focused on national issues like the Democrats' health care reform bill and the electoral future of the nation's capital, which doesn't have voting representation in Congress.

But it was the Michigan- and Detroit-focused inquiries that got the dean of the U.S. House, 84, most animated.

Referring to Detroit's towering long-term debt, estimated in a recent audit to be more than $8 billion, Dingell said: "I think I have better chance of being pope than they have of paying it off under the current circumstances.

The Pope, Johnny?  Nice Pro-abortion Progressive shot at the innocent and Christianity, Dingell.

"... The simple fact of the matter is they're going to have to do something about it, and they better start now because we have not cut that government, either the schools or the city government, to the point where they can sustain themselves."

Ah, so... The Democrats, such as Dingell in DC run up $4 trillion in debt = Good.  But, the Democrats in the City of Detroit run up $8 billion in debt = Bad.  WTF?  Talk about the heights of hypocrisy.  But, I guess that is fact of how socialism works.  Those at the top of the heap reap the spoils of all life's necessities while rationing to those below.  Their is no "good for the goose is good for the gander" coming from Dingell, just more age old maintaining of his Party's Plantation spoils.

Now, it's time for Johnny to segue into blaming Conservatives, err, uh-hum, uh "Stone-Age" Republicans and JEDS, err, that'd be John Engler Derangement Syndrome.

Dingell, whose 15th District doesn't include any portions of the city, also commented about state lawmakers, particularly the Republican-controlled state Senate.

"We have a state Legislature, a state Senate, that seems to be against everything, including the sun rising tomorrow," Dingell quipped.

"I hope some of those Stone-Agers up there in the Legislature will be more open and cooperative than I've seen them be in recent years ... dating back to the days of Gov. Engler."

So, Johnny wants Michigan's Republicans to simply drink the Democrat Party Kool-Aid even though they've led to the sun not rising on their "green jobs" debacle and historical taxation hikes.  My, what a tragic, totally spent, bankrupt ideology the Democrat Party has become if their "Dean of the House" only other note is a long faded "It's Engler's fault".  Must still be "Boooooosh's fault" too.  Pathetic.  There truly is no fool like an old fool.

And, to my fellow "Stone-Agers" in Lansing... ALL eyes are watching you if you even dare cave to this kind of nonsense of being ridiculed into "compromise".

You were not sent to Lansing last November to appease the Moochers and Looters of this state.  You were sent to Slash and Burn our outrageously wasteful spending and stay the hell out of our personal life's.  Oh, and Right-To-Work legislation ASAP too.

Exactly where does Dingell think that Michigan will find $8-billion to bail out the P.R.o.D.?

Michigan, unlike the federal government, can't just crank up the xerox machine a few notches and print all of the extra cash it needs to cover Detroit's mess.

It's not as if you're going to see someone digging through the cushions in the Capitol Visitor's Waiting Room to find enough spare change to avert Lansing's oncoming trainwreck?

And his colleagues on Capitol Hill are none to anxious to be bailing out states that have screwed the financial pooch. They're having a difficult time getting their own financial house in order, as it is.

Only one thing will solve the problem. A line of D-17 bull dozers 20 miles wide. Fire'em up and get it done. Maybe the land will become more useful growing weeds instead of welfare parasites.
