    Obama's Volt 281... 2011 Dodge Charger 3,263

"GM sells just 281 Chevy Volts in February, Nissan only moves 67 Leafs."

Peruse Chevrolet's February sales release, and you'll notice one number that's blatantly missing: how many Chevy Volts were sold. The number - a very modest 281 - is available in the company's detailed data (PDF), but it apparently isn't something that GM wants to highlight. Keeping the number quiet is understandable, since it's lower than the 321 that Chevy sold in January.

The Autoblog-Green writer continues the article by desperately asking "why" the Volt and Leaf are selling so poorly. The answer is really simple. Everyone who wants a Volt (and can afford a Volt) has a Volt.

Obama, in his green zeal (and complete lack of understanding of business, economics and history) has seriously overestimated the demand for EV's.

"has seriously underestimated the demand for EV's."

This should read "has seriously overestimated the demand for EV's."

    Sorry 'bout that.

Check out these latest numbers for pick-ups.

They're not even registering a day's production compared to domestic truck manfacturing!

Maybe Maobama's betting on the come. (none / 0) (#4)

Oil prices and commodity prices going up. Never let a good crisis go to waste as the M.E. goes crazy. High speed trains built with "good" union "workers" and increased demand for alternative energy vehicles built by some union "workers" as a result of no oil. What's not to like?

Wonder if Ricky put in his bid for more lots of strings attached Federal Money for trains last time he was in D.C? Oh well, lots more taxpayers to tap to pay for cost overruns now that he's found out how much fun tax raising can be. No doubt a train will run to the Traverse City area from the thriving upscale metropolis of Detroit (bad Glenn Beck, bad!) so Michael Mwhore can ride up there in solidarity with the "one".

complete lack of understanding of business, economics and history)?
My firm belief is that Obama and his team fully understand business, economics and history.
He and his team of Progressive Maggots are using their understanding of business, economics and history to drive Americans into joblessness, poverty and dependence on Big Government programs.
Whenever I mention such to friends they ask "why would they do such things intentionally?"
    My answer:  Power!
The more Americans they drive into joblessness, poverty and dependence the more power he and they have.

some genius from GM on the Beckman show.  He said the lower sales are due to the fact that they are just getting dealer models out and that they are only available in the mid-west right now.  By years end it will available nationwide.  Yeah - right, those numbers are just going to sky rocket.
