Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

And speaking of frustration... URGENT ACTION ALERT

Remember last month when you made a phone call to State Representative Matt Lori (r) to tell him you expect better from him than his attempt to increase regulations, drive up health care costs and to criminalize your kids' cold medicine?

For a time, we shut it down.  Just let that sink in for a minute folks. We brought out the light, and for a while, the threat of a sunburn kept this bad legislation indoors.

Unfortunately the cloudy skies over Lansing requires we sometimes must perform our Sun-Dance repeatedly. While our voices on the subject grew a little more silent with the satisfaction of a job well done, Representative Lori seems to have regained his own on the subject.

Apparently he hasn't gotten the message yet.

One of the nice things about blogging here on RightMichigan and over at MTTM, are the relationships I've been able to make with some great people in Lansing.  This morning several little birdies started chirping that Representative Lori has decided to resurrect his big-government bill and to take a second swing for the fences after you folks rose up and spoke out last time.

Apparently he's been seen around the Capitol this week shopping for co-sponsors.

    And below we go.

Lets again remind him what it means to be a small-government, pro-liberty conservative.

Enough is enough.  Please pick up your phone now.  Yes, right now.  It takes two minutes. Then dial one of these numbers to reach Lori's Lansing office and tell him enough is enough:

    Phone: (517) 373-0832
    Toll Free: (877) 262-5959

And if your allergies are acting up, use it as an opportunity.  Cough at the phone for effect, saying something like "Oh no, another 2nd mortgage for hay-fever."

I said it on last month, and I'll say it again today...

When daddy or mommy are considering whether or not to go grab a bottle of Triminic, Flintstones gravel throat annihilator, or one of the wildly popular alternatives to give a some relief to little Suzie with the runny nose and scratchy pipes, the last thing they should have to concern themselves with is an appointment with the family doctor.  A $7 bottle of cold medication that if Michigan state representative Matt Lori has his way could cost another $60-$100.

And just how well exactly does Lori expect this sort of nonsensical spike in regulation to go over in the year of the Tea Party?

If you've got a phone and you don't think you should have to shell out an extra hundred bucks the next time you or your kid gets sick, then pick it up and start dialing.

    Phone: (517) 373-0832
    Toll Free: (877) 262-5959

Of course, you'll probably have to leave a message with one of his staffers.  And that's OK.  In fact, it's important.  But after that, fire this guy an email, too.  His email address is mattlori@house.mi.gov.   Keep it simple, respectful and to the point. (remember he is still one of our guys - Just a little confused.)

Please take a moment to email and telephone your Representative (click here) and tell them that enough is enough, as well, lest they start drinking Lori's particular brand of big-government cold medicine themselves.  Vote NO on bigger government, sicker kids and higher priced health care.  Vote YES for LIBERTY!

Umm well, at least for keeping the cost of our medication affordable.

You know what you gotta do.

And just to drive home the point (none / 0) (#1)

We still move the bars here.

This is a seemingly small thing, but little fires are easier to douse than big ones.  Something like this gets traction and we'll be asking ourselves how it got through like the BS smoking ban.

NOTHING is little any more.  Capiche?

This was brought up at the Troy Area Tea Party... (none / 0) (#2)

...last night for a few minutes. It wasn't too favorably received then either.

I needed to take care of a few odds and ends about two hours ago, but I'll post a message on their site later tonight (and a few others as well) to get the word out.

I'll also give the good rep's office a call (along with mine) letting them know my position on this bill.
